I enjoy customizing the finishes on my wheels based on the buyer’s personal preferences. I can finish prayer wheels in a variety of styles from traditional Tibetan to secular. Traditional prayer wheels in Tibet, Ladakh, Bhutan and Nepal typically have the mantra “Om Mani Padme Hum” on the drum written in Tibetan script or Devanigiri script (most common in Nepal).

My prayer wheels can have simple painted script or burnished brass script; stencils, or hand-painted images; no embellishments or elaborate artistic embellishments. In addition, I can add finishes such as brass banding, painted trim, even patterned brass lantern finials purchased in the souks of Marrakech!

One of the most fun wheels I made was for a friend who grew up Catholic, likes the four armed Hindu god Ganesh, and listens to reggae music. The wheel I created for her has the Virgin of Guadelupe and Ganesh on the drum, and a skirt with the four traditional Rastafarian colors on it. Really, the ways to finish the wheels are unlimited.

All of my wheels come with a port or two ports that open to allow putting your prayers inside. Price includes a painted steel mounting pole and a painted skirt that covers the bearing. The steel column can be mounted to a poured concrete base or see the concrete lotus base below which can be purchased for 00 additional to mount your wheel in a garden.

Prices range from 95 for a simple small wheel with stenciled glyphs to $1,800 for a patinaed copper wheel with brass glyphs. The prices for the prayer wheels shown below that are unfinished are base prices which include basic stenciled glyphs. Finishing embellishments such as brass lettering are add-on costs. Delivery and installation are free in the greater Estes Park area and are available on a quoted per diem and mileage rate elsewhere. I can also ship anywhere in the United States via FedEx freight.
